Tattoo Artists

Finding the right artist is the most critical part of getting a tattoo. Clean, lasting work requires someone who respects the trade and knows the technical side inside out.

At The Blue Blood Studios on the Kinkerstraat, our crew doesn't try to do a little bit of everything. Each resident and rotating guest artist focuses on specific styles, custom designs, and solid technical execution.

Why Work With Our Studio?

When picking a tattoo artist, safety and long-term healed results are non-negotiable. Here is how we run our shop:

  • Family-Owned & Player-Operated: We are an independent, family-run studio built on the Kinkerstraat. We don't answer to investors or run a conveyor-belt shop. Because our name and daily lives are tied directly to this space, our accountability, technical standards, and client care are personal.

  • Decades on the Floor: Established in 2014, our artists bring even more experience to the chair, ranging from a minimum of 10 years to over 25 years in tattooing. No shortcuts.

  • 380+ Perfect 5.0 Google Reviews: Trusted by a massive community of local residents and international collectors who consistently rate our technical work and client care at the highest standard.

  • Strict GGD Licensing: Our studio operates under the absolute strictest hygiene protocols enforced by the Dutch Health Authority (GGD). We maintain a flawless, medical-grade sterile environment for every single session.

  • Built for Survival: Every single needle, chemical barrier, and sterilization protocol we utilize meets or exceeds European safety metrics. Your healing process is treated with the same precision as the tattoo itself.

A Global Hub for Tattooing

The Blue Blood Studios is more than a local space, it is a dynamic, evolving intersection for international tattooing culture. We deliberately reject the static studio model, choosing instead to serve as a high-level creative collective that bridges local craft with global artists.

The Blue Blood Studios hosts world-class guest artists traveling through Amsterdam throughout the year. Bringing in international talent gives our clients access to specialized styles and global aesthetics right here on the Kinkerstraat.

The Creative Collective

Outside of tattooing, we run a continuous studio archive with our visiting (and resident) artists. For the Glazed and Confused tile project, guest artists paint a custom ceramic tile using a single color: classic Dutch blue on white ceramic.

Working within these strict limits lets creators leave behind a unique piece of artwork, building an ongoing historical archive for the shop.
